Limited means of communication

Blinking $2.95 to call the Solomon Islands from Vodafone ..sheesh....no internet access either so looks like we will be going back to using the good old telecom landline. At least that one is 75c. This is just gonna make the two months which by the way he mentioned last night is a return ticket  for the 25th of May unbearable. Maybe that's why he's finally gonna buy me that Nexus 7. Well yeah agree to buy it but finding it is another thing altogether. Nexus 8Gb are no longer available and 16Gb is either running out of stock in the U.S or not available at all in the Pacific. Oh how I'm already despising the next few months.

Moment of Glory

Our little Island in the Skies
I wasn't a big fan of the new Air Pacific re-branding. Wasn't even interested in seeing the new plane, didn't quite understand what all the fuss was about even gave my camera away to someone who borrowed it just for today, to take photos of the aircraft. That was until I actually so photos of it online and what a beauty. Adorned in all its beautiful array of masi designs it stood out and shone in its one moment of glory. And shine it did. Such a proud moment.

What is there to be proud of?
In all actuality I believe the Christians at Air Pacific were praying for the weather all leading up to this moment so the plane could go all over Fiji and just display itself standing out and shining in its moment of glory. Only because it rained so hard in the last 72 hours that there was no sign of a fine day until this morning.
Going back to what is there to be proud of. There are a number of biblical principles at alluded to here that I couldn't help noticing.

  1. At a time when it had been struggling financially a stand was made, decision were made and followed through and something was done about it.
  2. They went back to the original branding that was in play 30 or more years ago. Its time as a country and as a people as children of God that we come back to God. Its time to come back to the  heart of worship. Position ourselves and get ready for him to move.
  3. It came out as a new creation. Nothing old about the airplane everything new and improved and promising to be better.
  4. Getting back to its identity. Knowing exactly who and what you are in Christ  that you have a job to do and what that job is.
  5. Stand up boldly and declare in all its moment of glory. Its time to stand up and shine like that verse in Isaiah its time to arise and shine for thy light has come and the glory of the lord has risen upon you.
Dedicated to my husband who flew out to the solomons this morning for 2 or 3 or 4 months. I believe this is a revelation for us to hold on to. Let this be your moment to arise and shine for the glory of the Lord has risen upon you and he will bless you and keep you and cause his light to shine upon you and forever smile down down you. May he bless the work of your hands and cause it to increase and abound and prosper and let this a moment where we totally trust in him to take care of us and lead us and guide us into what he has for us as a couple and as a family set apart for a time such as this. I love you too much..muah!

All along

When I think about it I realise that Jaydon knew it all along. Thats why he was being so cranky and clingy to both the father and the nena. Oh lord. How are we going to survive this separation? Its hard enough that the grandparents are going that he has to deal with his daddy going. Isa my little boy. This is too much for his little brain to comprehend.

Are you shitting me?

its our anniversary this week and hubby is on a one way ticket to the Solomons for most likely 3months. You've got to be kidding me. Feel like God's playing a practical joke on me all because these past few days I've been praying about how I'm asking and asking and nothing is happening and how I really wanted to see God move today in our family, work, finances everything. And lo and behold he moved. I guess I gotta take it as a sign that he's gonna do something extravagant in our lives...but 3months...what the hell man. How am I supposed to handle 3whole months. Is this some kind of practical joke? This is crazy ridiculous, stupid. I don't like it one bit. We haven't even fully moved yet? How am I gonna get everything across to Calcutta? How am I gonna get to work in the mornings. What about my little boy? This is gonna be too much changes for him to handle Lord. Help us through this time, whatever it is you have in store for us, teach us to trust you but most importantly give us wisdom and strength to get through this.

Blonde Moment in Coding

I've been struggling with this code for weeks. Its changes to a program I had written and practically made live early last year. One year ago to be exact. It went for review and had to do changes to it and after doing changes to it it wouldn't work. So because of so may versions to it I have to creating and recreating and installing and uninstalling all the different versions for weeks. Finally frustrated I reverted back to an old code I had stored on my computer. To find out today that there is a value difference between my stored procedure and web page. karaik. Hence the index out of bound array error. There was a missing value on my local database compared to the live one. grrr...must be the song...It finally taught me to stop and wait on God and hear him clearly speaking...All this time!

Three Years and thirteen days

So the icing was a disaster. I don't know whether it was because of my friction with Bin or my unknown friction with the man of the house because of the wedding the next day or because he said to me to just make a simple cake and I wanted to fancy it. The cake came out well. The cupcakes were delicious but the icing just couldn't seem to come out right. First the cream cheese was moldy and fungi lucky I was able to get a refund but even with just the icing and butter, the day seemed to be just too hot for making icing with butter it just kept rolling and dripping off the side of all the cakes and cupcakes. But he loved it non the less and the look on his face and his impatience to blow out his candles I will never forget.
Also for the first time ever he is the right weight. no more getting told off by the nurses or medicine or anything 14kg and 90% good weight...so so happy. Well he eats alot now and its just so exciting watching him come over and asking to eat or feeding him, I'm loving every minute of it.

In your Arms

Right up the same sentence of Pause and take a minute this song found its way into my playlist this week. Its inspired by the story of Martha and Mary. Where Jesus said to Martha just stop, stop everything that you're doing and sit at my feet and receive from me.
Amazing song, the words are so powerful and so surreal it reminds me that in the middle of everything that is going on and everything that I am doing I need to sit and hear from Jesus, he might find me a better way of doing it. being meditating on this song all day and every time I replay this song I'm getting a breakthrough in my code that's being giving me a headache this past month.
Here's me coming back to your feet Jesus. its in your arms that I find everything that I could ever need. its in your arms that I believe. Great song.

Pause and Take a minute

So many things to do. So many things to say but I must pause and take a minute. A minute to say thank you God. A minute to recollect, look back and be grateful and look forward and refocus. Pause and take a minute. I think that we have become so instantaneous in the way we do things that life is simply just passing us by. Everything is fast paced. Every one and everything is on the go. No more dinner table conversation or sitting room talks everyone is always either on their phone, on the internet or doing something on the tablet or computer. makes me think about the talk that once went around about the computer was the 666. If you take a minute to think about it, it has consumed our lives so much that we don't have time to stop, look around, think or just pause and take a minute to breath. I think about how everybody is so caught up on the in thing, how fast information travels and how we just can't seem to stop and enjoy the breeze. Do people do that anymore? Do people stop and look around? Imagine the day where instead of talking to each other people will be talking into their phones/ tablets computers. No more face to face conversations it may happen that people will take into their computers to have a conversation with the person next to them. I think we need to pause and take a minute to think about where technology is taking us today. Whether it is for our own good or it is really just making us look stupid and gullible.
