Dress of the Year

I'm not a big Obama fan but the first lady will get my vote any day.
Especially in this dress.
Definitely going to try to recreate it
Totally love it.
My style icon.
I think I fell in love with her the day I saw her on sesame street with Elmo.
Anybody who loves Elmo gets my love.
Great Lady

30 is the new 20

And so they ask - how does it feel to be 30?
Really no idea. A bit overwhelming, a bit nervous, very different then sudden realisation that you're not young anymore.
You're not twenty something anymore and you need to start taking good care of yourself.
If life began at 30 then it definitely didn't feel that way.
I don't feel like I'm getting old but I do feel like I need to do a stock take of my life.
List of things that I need to start doing like take good care of yourself and your health.
A new chapter in life has began.
I don't feel the need to prove anything though because I feel that I've got everything I could possibly need.
I think just daddy and his salvation will always be at the tip of my head.
How I need to be a better person.
How I need to love and appreciate my husband and son more and spend more time with them and the people I love.

Reflections?
I feel like I've done everything I could possibly do what else is there?
I think this year and for the next 30 years of my life I want to make every moment count.
Everything to matter and make sense of and be full of purpose.
Discovering what exactly it is that God has planned for me and my family and how that fits in with what God has called us to and what we want to do.
I really would like to run change cell groups and bible studies this year.
I don't even know whether to start Change now or wait until Pastors come back.
I realise fully that we will definitely miss the works. I love tea parties at the works and am starting to love them too as leaders.
What does that mean for us and our plans to go away? We'll lave that in God's hands, serve God and what he has called us to and our service to mum and dad honour that first and then we'll see.
Ever since early last week I've been praying for Jitoko at his work place and specifically praying for that promotion and pay rise that he so rightfully deserves.
Everyday since then he's been coming home and telling me about the changes they have been going through.
Every since then he's been saying we find out today who's going home.
Every day he's been mumbling about who should have gone home but who is instead and I just sit and thank God that he will see us through this.
I can see that he's worried if they will be going home. Well Lord if this is your will for us then your will be turn.
Teach us to trust you to see us through in jesus name

Elevating in 2013

Love Pastor Eddie's message on Sunday.
he was talking about how if you haven't finished keep elevating until you get there.
It was amazing because it might have been the first time in a long time that I have heard in preach and just listening to him made me see his potential and how he has grown spiritually. Also made me sad about all that division because it made me realise that someone's been lying all this time...very sad.
Going back to Pastor Eddy's message I think the highlight of it was him talking about how God put you there to be his weapon or agent of change to fully realise your God given potenial wherever you are and start living in it because that the only way people are going to get saved, by looking at you.
The world needs us to get ourselves together and start living our God given purpose so that people can start seeing and wanting and asking and coming to God.
The other this that he said that made me laugh was enough leaving...leave here , leave this, leave that, enough already and just elevate yourself in God and elevate Jesus in your life and let him handle it.
When he prayed for me he said I needed to feel God again, hear God, see God in it and just trust him. Walk with him and let him lead.
I did that last night twice and it was a real good adrenalin rush.
Yes I complain that I spent on God after dad made us go here and all but I love him and spending on him regardless made me happy and giving that chance to go out of the house was even better.
So God led us to lovu to the Pillai's and it was a good time albeit small.
Also gave me the chance to bump into Tieri again and I know it was appointed because well they still don't have a church so here's to praying for them that they connect to ours and actually step foot into it to be changed.
Yes the church is in bad condition, all that sewer water along the front lawn makes me embarassed to invite people and even make me walk.
I was looking at it yesterday during prayer and I saw poverty.
I don't have an explanation to why but it was saddening just looking at the state of it.
Maybe the leaders are more concerned about filling their pockets and tummies to be concerned that the place that we're giving God the chance to come and commune with us is filthy, maybe its a reflection of the spirituality of the church reflecting in the natural.
I don't know all I know is its gloomy, stinky, poverty looking and theres a very strong need for a change, whether in the church or in the venue itself or both I don't have an answer for just yet.
but I'm thankful that God provided me with the confirmation I needed. I believe if the church and espeically change is to grow it will only grow through connect groups and visitations. If none of that happens than really there is no growth.
I like what Eddy(Pastor Eddy) that is said about work. Work work. You've gotta work. There is a huge portion in the believing but there's an even bigger portion in putting things into action and working.
It was a good message and a good day. I think I will never be able to think about Keith again withought thinking about his opinion of whats gonna happen in Lovu in March....haha...the idiot...but I will miss him if he goes.

Love and do good

So that revelation that I received late last week, had a real deja-vu moment when he highlighted the KJV for Matthew 5:44:
44 But I say to you, love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you,
This was so very much for me and I am so thankful that I decided to go to church yesterday even after the sleepless night from the noises coming from the neighbours next door who had been partying all of Friday night into Saturday morning that I was all sick all of Saturday and Sunday.
Love the part where he was testifying about his neighbours drinking all night and him praying for them where even though they continued partying he went off to sleep I tried that after church yesterday when we got home to find the partying still going on after many frustrated turns I prayed and literally knocked out for two hours.
Always made me forgive and walk forward from that incident last week plus forgive a whole bunch of people now to extend love and mercy towards them by praying for them or doing something good. Not too excited by the can of worms I will be opening but relieved by the weight that's lifted off my shoulders and literally ready to move on.
So some notes that I took down from Pastor Richard's message:
1. Do not pay back evil for evil
Romans 12: 17 Repay no one evil for evil. Have regard for good things in the sight of all men. 18 If it is possible, as much as depends on you, live peaceably with all men. 19 Beloved, do not avenge yourselves, but rather give place to wrath; for it is written, “Vengeance is Mine, I will repay,”[a] says the Lord.

2. Actively loving people
Matthew 22: 39 And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’[a]

Steps to handle disappointment:
Disappointed
Let go
Love or else you will be stuck moving from being disappointed to letting go to remembering to letting go constantly shifting never really overcoming. God wants us to overcome disappointments. Maybe that's why I am, always feeling that different people keep doing the same things in so many different ways but always the same thread can be identified because I keep shifting from remembering to letting go when I really need to forgive and step out and do something nice for them. Whether it is praying or something physically nice.
Step out starting to LOVE.  That will truly overcome disappointments.
Step out and do something good for them.
3. Stop expecting things from people
I think my biggest problem and the biggest problem of everybody else is that I am expecting things from people and they have no idea what and they are expecting things from me and I have no idea what. pretty stupid when you really think about it. We should only be expecting things from God. We need to start expecting more from God and less from people.
4. Lower your expectations in people and increase your expectations in God.
5. Show good.

Whom Shall I Fear

Had a bad experience that really brought me down until I heard this song. It goes in line with what was replaying in my head all morning. Love your neighbour and pray for those who persecute you.
What? Pray for them? How can you pray for them? What do you pray for them? I think Jesus was trying to teach a very important lesson there on love. Don't retaliate, don't mumble don't grumble or complain just pray for them that persecute you. Time and time again the same people the same ways different scenarios but the same hurts and pain, Jesus knew what he was talking about. He knew that it was not going to stop but that it was going to be continuous, persistent and getting worse and yet he said love and pray. Also gave me a kind remember that if no weapon that is formed against me will prosper and every tongue that rises against me is condemned than I better not be that weapon to somebody else or that condemned tongue.
I know who goes before me. I know who stands behind. Awesome.

You hear me when I call
You are my morning song
Though darkness fills the night
It cannot hide the light

Underneath my feet
You are my Sword and Shield
Though trouble lingers still

Whom shall I fear

For You alone can save
You will deliver me
Yours is the victory
